Matching Product Scripts with Personality

Scripting is a core area we help our clients with. In job transition, we help clients confidently communicate their skillsets to potential employers. This may be wordsmithing a resume or CV to better reflect accomplishments. It can be rehearsing an elevator pitch for a potential employer or discussion points to ace the interview.

We also help clients align microbrands (new and existing sales representatives) with the corporate macrobrand. It’s essential to ensure there is no disconnect between the micro- and macrobrands scripts so that customer experience does not suffer.

This week, we take a look at a salesperson’s microbrand. As important as it is for their sales script to echo the branding of the company, it is EQUALLY important that they retain their own personality in the delivery. They need to adopt the corporate method and make it their own. The goal is to be able to talk about the products or services in their own words. When they’re forced to adopt language that doesn’t feel natural, your sale may get lost in the translation.
